Great value for the price, but! The middle does as in the two halves only piece together with 3 tiny dowels so not permanent and not steady. But I make it work, lol.I needed more space for working at home and saw this desk in Amazon. The price was perfect for my meager budget. It’s study and roomy. A great desk for limited space.Nice desk. Good for the amount i paid for it.Its easy to put together but easy to mess up. Easy to fix the mess ups though. The intructions are slightly unclear but if you have common sense you got this! Worth the price.Great for price.Due the the desk I had before for working from home was broken and I needed a bigger desk yet didn't want to spend more than 150.00 for a desk. This is a great desk for the amount I paid of 109.00. I did lose a part and things got stripped when I moved. It's still a great desk and I love itThe desk arrived next day in a heavy 25KG flatpack. The panels are protected by polystyrene on each side of the box and the large top desk panels have plastic protectors on each of the corners.Unfortunately despite this one of the panels came a bit chipped, this turned out to be the bottom shelf of the desk facing the back, fortunately, this meant it wasn't visible so this doesn't bother me.Assembly was easy, it took about 25 minutes at most and the instructions are very clear and easy as everything is labelled with a letter and there are big pictures detailing each step.My only concern with the assembly is when screwing the two desk-tops together with a metal plate two of the screw holes are not pre-drilled. I imagine it was made this way because the desk can be built with a left or right side corner. Fortunately, I didn't need to get a drill, I just used the screwdriver and some force and could screw the plate into the desk-top without screw holes.I assume this design decision was made because you have the ability to fix the corner on the left or right side, so drilling holes for both sides could add annoying screw holes on the underside of the desk.Be careful to have the desk pieces pushed firmly together and in the correct place before tightening the screws. The panels all came covered in some kind of sawdust/fibreglass, so once assembled they need a wipe down. The MDF panels have a fairly thin coating as shown by the panel that was chipped, this makes me cautious about the long-term durability of the desk. Additionally, the corner area of the desk seems a bit flimsy and easily flexes if you lean on the desk. That being said, you get what you pay for, and for a desk this size with shelves the quality is about what I expected. If you want a hardwood desk this size you're looking at paying far more.Overall I'd recommend this desk if you're looking for a desk fast (prime delivery) at a decent price. Please see the attached photographs to see the quality of this L-shaped computer desk. I have tried my best to take every angle and detail for your convenience. The desk was delivered in a timely manner and was well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box. Inside the box, you receive all the pieces that you need to build the desk, including a screwdriver and a well illustrated instruction which is easy to follow. All the holes were pre-drilled and each piece is clearly labelled for easy assembly. It took me about 45 minutes to put the pieces together. Once assembled the desk feels solid and is spacious enough for a monitor, laptop, keyboard, mouse, speaker, etc.The desk fits nicely in the corner of the room and the monitor stand is a great addition. I love the rounded edges and the black wood grain finish. The shelves are strong and very handy to store some books, papers and anything else within easy reach.Overall, it is a great sturdy desk for the price and I am really pleased with my purchase!I chanced my arm ordering this unit, as, for £65, it definitely falls within the 'cheap' side of desk furniture. I'm also NO EXPERT at flat pack either, but needs and bank balance determined the buy.The desk arrived within a day (courtesy of Amazon Prime) - weighing in at a health 27Kg. If you're carrying upstairs, you'll probably need some help. I opened the box and carried the bits upstairs separately. I determined all the parts as per the list - and made sure all were present! - and followed the 5 step instructions, the hardest was the first set, working out which L-shape I wanted, but I took a little time and all was well.A screwdriver IS supplied, but I'd advise an electric screw driver - especially for the 12 self tapping screws - all other screws are pre drilled holes. It was soon put together and slotted into place.I'm very pleased with the end product. A good proportion of my retro collection fits on the desk, and its solid enough to hold a fair weight- Its holding my Amiga 1000, and Amstrad CPC6128, two monitors and a Spectrum :) and there's loads of room underneath for typical bedroom or office clutter to be hidden.OK - so what is the final word ? - For 65 quid, its brilliant. I've seen better desks, but they cost twice as much. For the money I'm very happy - what else matters ?Was very wary about buying this due to having read the other reviews but I can honestly say that I'm glad that I did. It was smaller that I thought which turned out to be a good thing. It is very spacious and I would 10/10 recommend. It can fit a 32" TV, a 15" laptop and a 22" monitor on without any problems. The shelving unit that is part of the design is wide enough to fit a PS4 in with ease and there is room under the desk for a gaming chair. I would highly advise purchasing this desk, especially if you need space or want to try your hand at becoming a streamer. <3I bought 2 of these desks as I wanted something longer than I could find. I combined the 2 desks to create this longer version. I did only use 1 top and 1 side from the second box but I eventually managed to combine the 2 to create this wonderful masterpiece. I used red vinyl tape to make it unique to my office black/red colour scheme. Excellent desk for the price and couldn't be happier.
