Since we've all been trapped home due to the pandemic, I've been working from home from my computer desk. The downside is that my existing build and monitor is here so that doesn't leave much real estate for my work laptop and my arms to fit comfortably on the remaining desk space.I should also mention that my desk chair, the Herman Miller Mirra 2 doesn't help with this arm rest issue. If you never sat in this chair, the arm rests don't make sense while working, they're just way too low for any normal person to rest them unless you just sit like a zombie with your arms down all day not doing anything... really, I wish I were kidding. So I had a few options as my carpal tunnel was starting to act up. Either create some kind of make shift foam risers to add to my current arm rests, or buy some kind of extender for the desk that can adjust however I needed it to. While I planned to do the first one, the extender option would take a lot less time than anything else, so I looked around, and bit the bullet on this one as it had the most reviews.Honestly, since I purchased this, this has been the best investment in my arms in a very long time. It adds just the right amount of support without moving around too much or anything of that nature and the fact that it can swivel to however you need it to at any given moment is a perk.I use this mostly for my right arm for extra support while using my mouse, but next amazon order I'm doing, I'm buying one more for my left arm so they're both comfortable while working, gaming, or just relaxing!!Just in case anyone needs specs: I'm using this on a Turquoise Origami Desk and a gaming mat. Since my desk is mostly some kind of textured plastic on the outside, I don't think the screw mechanism would damage it, but if you have a wooden desk, definitely add additional felt. (You can buy a cheap sheet of felt from Micheals to prevent any scratches or damages!)Pro:- Reduced my arm fatigue- Makes working, gaming, leisure much more comfortable- Adjustable over and over again for angle and placement- Great to add to almost any desk that you need additional support- Adds additional support to your elbows- If you're wearing a arm brace, this also helps keep your arm straight.Con:- I did notice some skin irritation for the first week I used it, so definitely wipe it down and wear some long sleeves until you get used to the texture (to be fair, my skin is sensitive)- The covering over the foam can start to rise up if you rub against it a lot so keep that in mind. A bit of glue should help that if anything.- I'm just worried for longevity in the future if someone else isn't careful with it as the parts are all plastic.Overall 10/10, I'd buy again (which I will be soon), and I'd recommend to anyone else if they needed it!I'll start by saying that my chair currently has no arm so I'm not crazy picky about whatever arm support I can get while I'm working at my desk. That being said, here's the pros and cons:Pros:-The clamp seems to hold really tight.-The arm rest itself is comfy.-You can move it around from side to side or remove it completely which I find usefulCons:-Because it can be removed and move around in general the back of the arm rest feels like it can break if too much weight is put on it.-The arm rest itself is kinda wobbly for the reason previously stated.Overall, for me it's a decent arm rest. I don't put my weight on it though. I just use it to have something to place my arm on while I use my mouse and for that purpose it works great.Love this but it didn’t fit the thickness of my desk in one area. Thankfully, I just had to move everything further to right to fit a less thick area of my desk. It works. You do have to tighten it once in a while or it pops off. Now I need one on my left side, but I’ll have to fit a different one due to thickness. For the cost and help it provides me, it works pretty well. A few tweaks in the design might make it a better product. The first thing I noticed upon trying them was the amount they bend at the extremities. The rests can also pop out of the swivel that secures them with a little too much ease.It wasn't a constant problem, but these don't seem to like any unusual arm posture; Applying a relatively moderate amount of force to the end of the cushions causes flex immediately and they work they're way out of the swivel if you move around. It really only works perfectly if you're relatively still and distributing the weight of your arm perfectly across the length so that the part over the swivel is held down.I will say they have not broken, and there's no signs of mechanical stress that would make me suspect they're liable to break, they are merely not securely fastened. For just a little more effort this could have been a five-star product for me. There is too much flex where the pad attaches on to the clamp, it appears to me. When I lay my arm on the pad it flexes downward so I ended up having to shim underneath the pad to make it level for the support I wanted. After reading reviews I wasn’t sure this would work. But it does the job. Yea, you can’t lean on it…duh! It’s for “resting” your arm while you maneuver your mouse. I like it because it keeps my arm closer to me and I’m not reaching and putting that stress on my upper arm and shoulder. If you have a drawer, yea you can’t open it. Remove it, get in your drawer and put it back. It’s that easy. Some people are just lazy. And it swivels so you can move it out of your way. I’d say it’s worth the purchase. This is a really comfortable armrest. It was easy to put on. It swivels to get out of the way as I exit my desk. But... sometimes it can be really noisy just shifting around while my arm is on it. Sometimes it's very distracting.I would buy this again, but if they put out a studier one made with materials that don't creak I would buy it in a heartbeat. This is the second one of these arms I've purchased. The last one was good, but the cover on the foam topping started coming loose after about 6 months. I kept catching my arm on it. I ended up putting a sock over it which solved the issue, but looked weird. I finally decided to purchase another one.The old one didn't swivel, so I had to keep loosening the screw to reposition it. But this one swivels. A great improvement. Just hope the foam cover lasts a bit longer.Digo se que es algo económico pero un poquito de calidad en el perfil de la parte como acolchada se siente que se va a despegar muy rápidoI play game and work quite long so right arm always fell bad and pain, this little thing give my arm extra support very helpful, I feel much better than before, like it! only thing feel uncomfort is because the pad surface made by some kind of foam and make skin sticky , so I use a cotton to cover the pad .
